We have carefully considered the decision to proceed with this year’s premium changes and we appreciate that this may be difficult for some, particularly in the current climate. The main reason for the increase is because the costs of healthcare continue to rise. Our responsibility is to ensure we can continue to pay claims on behalf of all our members when they require treatment or hospitalisation.
Our response and support for our members and communities has been comprehensive given the impact of COVID-19. However, with healthcare treatment now returning across most states, premium changes were required to ensure our members can continue to use their health cover now and in the future.
